Hebei Hengshui Middle School was founded in 1951 and is among the first batch of model senior high schools in Hebei Province. Located in Hengshui, a city at the intersection of the Beijing–Kowloon Railway and the Shijiazhuang–Dezhou Railway, the school is conveniently situated near National Highway 106 to the east and the Shijiazhuang–Huanghua and Shijiazhuang–Dezhou expressways to the north. Covering an area of 200 mu, the school has 7,000 students and 400 faculty and staff. Guided by the principles of “people-oriented education, scientific management, truth-seeking pragmatism, and quality first,” the school upholds the motto of “pursuing excellence” and adheres to the educational philosophy of “placing student development at the core.” It vigorously promotes “education based on respect” and actively advances curriculum reform aimed at “teaching students how to learn.” Due to its outstanding performance in the national college entrance examination, the school has been dubbed by some media outlets as a “factory for producing university students.”
